As a mom I know there are lies I believe that get in the way of parenting from freedom. I know the days too well of thoughts circling in my head:
“Am I enough? Do I have what it takes?”
“Are my kids going to turn out okay? What if they don’t?”
And the even scarier questions:
“What if I’m not cut out for this? My kids deserve better than me.”
“What if I’M the reason? I’m such a screw up, it has to be something I’ve done.”
Friends, these are lies and these are holding us back. The truth is: YOU CAN BE OKAY EVEN THOUGH YOUR CHILD IS NOT. Your worth is not measured by your child’s performance.
